Terms

One subscription. Six rules. Written in plain English.

This page states the recurring-billing contract for the $24.95/month subscription in the same plain language as the privacy page and the FAQ — five rules, no fine-print dodge.

The Subscription Rules

The five rules, in long form

Five plain-language rules — the long version of every billing, refund, and access policy, written the way it’s actually enforced.

The subscription

$24.95is charged each month by Stripe — month-to-month, recurring. There is no annual plan, no auto-upgrade tier, and no prepay discount. The price you see is the price you pay, every month it’s paid.

No refunds

We do not offer refunds, prorations, or credits for partial periods. Digital audio is delivered continuously for the period paid and the feed can be replayed at any point during that period, so a chargeback-after-listen rule is the only fair one for everyone. A closed period stays closed even if you change your mind a day later.

How the private Hello Audio feed is delivered

Every subscriber gets a private RSS URL keyed to a long random token — the same token your podcast app uses to authenticate. It is generated at activation, stored alongside the subscription record, and served at the private audio endpoint that authenticates your podcast app. Not indexed, not shared, not published, and never sent in any email or third-party analytics call. Each new active subscription issues a fresh token pair; old tokens stop working even if the email is the same.

Cancellation

Cancel any time via the Stripe billing portal — the link is in any successful-payment email. Cancel mid-cycle and the feed stays live through the end of the current paid period. After the period closes, the token stops serving audio — the RSS URL in your podcast app goes silent and eventually shows as unavailable. There is no penalty for cancel-and-return; the next paid period reactivates with a fresh token.

3-day failed-renewal grace

If the monthly charge fails — expired card, bank decline, fraud block, or anything outside our control — Stripe automatically retries across a 3-day grace window. During those three days the feed stays live and the subscriber can update their payment method. On day four, if the charge still has not cleared, the feed deactivates. We may send one billing reminder on each grace day; the Stripe hosted-update flow is the upgrade path.

The Feed Token

How the private URL gets to your podcast app

At activation, a long random token pair is generated and stored alongside the subscription record. The private RSS URL your podcast app pulls from is keyed to that token — the audio endpoint authenticates every request against it before returning audio.

The URL is never indexed, never published, and not discoverable through the public web. It is not sent in any email we send, and not exposed to any third-party analytics call. Treat it like a password and do not paste it publicly — see the privacy page’s Feed Token section for the full-storage rule.

When the subscription cancels or the 3-day grace window closes, the token stops serving audio — the private URL in your podcast app goes silent. Resubscribing with the same email does not reactivate the old token; each new active subscription generates a fresh one.
